About artist: Visual artist Duc Van Pham held a BA degree in Lacquerware Painting from Hochiminh city University of Fine Arts and was a lecturer in Hochiminh city Architect University, Vietnam before he moved to Ireland to pursue full time artist career in 2010. He’s had many solo and group exhibitions in Vietnam, England and Ireland as well as had works sold on Saatchi Gallery Online and owned by private collectors. In 2014 and 2017 he was shortlisted in Sky Arts Portrait Artists of the Year and had paintings showed in RHA 191st RHA Annual Exhibition and GOMA Waterford Gallery of Modern Art 5th Annual Exhibition… His work is visually documenting his own life through portraying people from many different every walks of life by painting them and their stories expressing in time, space and spirit.
About artwork: I sometimes question myself ‘what if’ to imagine what my life would be like if I had different decisions, choices… in order to see the possibilities, variety, diversity… of this world where I live in multiple perspectives, to have joy, love, happiness… and to live life to its fullest potential.
